Content Authoring for Games is a minor concentration I have taken as part my Graduate Degree at RIT. This track mostly deals with Game Design and Writing. Below are a few samples of the work I've done.
Paradox: Soul/2 was game idea I came up with for the Interactive Narrative course. Here are a few documents I created for this game.
My concept was chosen for the Game World Design Course. I worked with 5 other people and we produced a Game Treatment Document. We also presented a Concept Greenlight Pitch. The story was reworked a bit and we changed the title to aptly highlight what the game is all about.
This is a cut-scene description I worked on with two other classmates and presented for the Game World Design Course. We were required to describe a scene which showcased - 'insanity', 'pity' and 'put him out of his misery'. My task was to describe the imagery and camera angles in the cutscene. Below is a sample of how we arranged and described Act 1 of the cut scene.
As part of the History of Computer Games course, I had to perform a close reading. The goal of this assigment was to critically analyse a game and a level in the game; describe why it is 'fun'. A video, which summarized the paper, was also required. I chose Half-Life 2 and the level - 'We don't go to Ravenholm' .
